This week at the 2019 SEC Spring Meetings in Destin, Fla., Tennessee football coach Jeremy Pruitt caught up with our own Jimmy Hyams and Blake Toppmeyer of Knox News.
Pruitt, navigating through his second offseason as a head coach, was asked about the transfer portal and his thoughts on the process.
“You now, I don’t see it as a negative. I see it as a positive. We have had very few who has went in it. You’re talking about someone like myself. I transferred. I spent two years at a place I really loved at Middle Tennessee. I left there not because I wasn’t happy or not playing. I left there because I had a dream of doing something else. So, I was able to do that. I look at it as someone comes to your school and things might not work out the way they seem fit. They have an opportunity to figure it out somewhere else.”
