First-year Lady Vols Basketball coach Kellie Harper caught up with members of the media, including Jimmy Hyams, this week in Destin, Fla. for the 2019 SEC Spring Meetings.

During the group session, Harper was asked about reviving the series with UConn. Here’s what the LVFL said on the matter.

“It’s a big game. It’s going to do a lot of good. I think there’s a lot of fundraising around that game. I think there’s a lot of excitement and a lot of talk generated about that game. Hopefully there re some foundations that can benefit greatly because of it.”

Harper was then asked about the possibility of the series extending beyond the two-year path it current sits on.

“I think it is something we will have to sit down and evaluate as a staff and look at our current schedule and see what commitments we have for the future. But obviously for us, we want to play really high-caliber teams – obviously UConn is that. So, we’ll just have to look and see if that schedule allows for that and see where we go from there.”
